WCRI Special Programming

This special Kingston Chamber Music Festival concert on WCRI highlights some of the performances at their 2023 music festival. The Kingston Chamber Music Festival (KCMF) will celebrate its 36th season this summer. The two-week festival brings renowned musicians and young, rising artists to perform seven exciting concerts in Edwards Auditorium at the University of Rhode Island. In this special three-hour radio program from WCRI, you'll hear holiday music by artists, groups, and ensembles from southern New England. The Chorus of Westerly Holiday Pops Radio Program is a unique show on WCRI to kick off the holiday season. You'll enjoy an hour of beautiful seasonal music performed by the Chorus of Westerly and the Pops Festival Orchestra. On this special WCRI program, we hear the renowned modern performer of historical music, Hilda Huang, who has dedicated her burgeoning career to the music of Johann Sebastian Bach. Originally performed live last year during the Kingston Chamber Music Festival’s summer concerts, Andreas K. Meyer of Swan Studios in New York City has engineered this beautiful audio recording. 

Enjoy this years East Greenwich Chamber of Commerce Holiday Car Parade & Town Hall Tree Lighting musical program! This half hour program was the accompaniment to the car parade and had personal greetings from town officials, wonderful holiday music and a special greeting/reading from Santa himself!!

A Classical Halloween is a creature double feature of The Score with Edmund Stone. Two hours of some of your favorite spooky scores from horror movies and specials. Get into the Halloween spirit as you delight trick-or-treaters with this frightful program.
