In this program Mike Maino and The Newport Music Festivals Executive Director Pamela Pantos discuss the final concert to this years 50th Anniversary celebration. This concert is a glorious finale to the Newport Music Festival’s 50th Anniversary Season. Featuring two of the most moving choral works ever written, this evening begins with Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, a stirring hymn to Mary, and finishes with Vivaldi’s Gloria, the anthem of the angels as they announced Christ’s birth.
